Hi
This does not work at all.
I renamed the default to default old
I renamed fastway2 to default
The following happens-
1. In admin panel>design>Current Theme the theme is /themes/default old (even though I chose the new default with the fastway2 files)
2. When I chose the new default – the popup window was empty
3.in Available themes
a. WordPress Default — the graphic still shows the blue theme from kubrick
b. the Fastway2 graphic also shows as the blue theme from kubrick– even though on server it is all fastway2 files.
3. The page to users shows as the blue theme from kubrick- although the files are from fastway2.
4. If I delete default entirely, and rename fastway2 to default, it shows a messed up version of kubrick.
5. I didnt do anything strange to this install btw.
So it seems no matter what I do to Default- somehow it cant be changed- or it still shows from somewhere

whats the answer samboll ??
if you don’t want default theme, just delete it. wordpress can work without it.
you can also after that rename that theme to default, but I don’t think that’s necessary.

that answer is not correct— didnt you read my post ? further if I delete it- then when my new theme fails to load– then the page comes up blank
The folder name does not reflect the what shows up in the admin section. Choose the theme you want, even though you renamed its folder to Default. Don’t pick the Default one there.

I deleted original default- I renamed my new theme to default- I chose the new default theme- The blog doesnt show this new default theme, but a screwed up version of the original default
