Replace category title with a number for false pagination (2 posts)

    Hi, I have a category list, but instead of having

  2. category name
  3. category name
  4. category name
  5. category name

    6. I need to have
    1
    2
    3...
    where those numbers are NOT the category ID, just a number sequence, a variable ie called $cat-order that has a $cat-order++

    just a numbered list.
    is that possible? where do I change that?
    I tried everything at cat template and found nothing.

    Need to see the code you are using to generate the list (only 10-15 lines, please).

    Formatting is messed up on this post - suggest you start a new thread and use backticks for code segments.
