   I have recently been getting multiple (3-5) comments every single day on my blog regarding either auto insurance or health insurance. However, the comments are all marked as spam before they're ever posted.

   My question is this: Is there a way to simply block any comments sent using a variation of an email address? The spammer who has been posting uses the e-mail "d##s_test###@hotmail.com" on all of his comments, with the '#' signs being a random number each time. Apparently they don't understand that their comments have not been-- and never will be-- posted.

   I would suggest using Akismet plugin to block spam

   I've been receiving about 100+ a day for the last few days from someone at dragonara.net. Contacted their abuse department, and got no reply. So I went to the upstream provider (cogentco.com) and 5 minutes later, they stopped it.

   Long way to go, but it worked.
