Reorganize fields in the writing page (1 post)

    Hi ! :)

    I have developped a plugin for my personal site, based on WP 1.5.2. I wanted to allow authorized users to publish reviews, so I added several new fields to the "Write post" page, like a global note, a conclusion, ISBN number for books, and so on. I can then format and display all these data in my template. Those extra text fields were appearing below the editing text, and it was rather good looking and intuitive to the writer.

    With WP 2.0, those extra fields now appear on the right column, in the "Post Status" sub-menu. Since I have many fields, the interface is now totally messed up, due to the fields widths and their number. It's really ugly and non-intuitive for the user, who has to go to the "Post Status" section, which is not the best name for my purpose by the way. Moreover, since I have about 10 new fields, they overlap the "preview" section when I unfold the "Post status" menu, and all looks rather buggy.

    I'd like to know if there is a solution for putting my extra fields back under the post writing area, so I can again use wide text boxes and my writers can see them at a glance. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance! :)
