I'm trying to edit the add/edit post page within the admin panel. I know how to drag-and-drop the elements in order to reorder or delete them for a single user (me). I'm looking for a way to force-reorder the default setup for all my other users.
Ideally - and this is an extra feature :) - I'd like to change the default layout based on a post's category, so that I can force or strongly encourage users to enter some elements, like "excerpt", for some categories but not others.
But I'd settle for just reworking the default layout. :-) Thanks so much for your help!
PS - I've already tried installing Admin Menu Editor (http://w-shadow.com/blog/2008/12/20/admin-menu-editor-for-wordpress/) but it's giving me a fatal error. And I'm not sure if it's what I'm looking for, even if it did work.
