I thought that I understood the rename the directory thread but since Im new I guess I missed something.
I have a domain on yahoo that allows me to install WP blogs within my domain name. I have two blogs that I would like to have on this one domain I have both of them activated and there names are http://www.example.com/blog and http://www.example.com/blog1 I would like to rename those folders and have that show up in the address bar.
my problem is that when I rename the folder on my server and rename it in the WP options it gives me a 404 error. Is there a file within the WP directory that I need to rename as well. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated.
Make sure that in each blog there is nothing in the
/wp-content/cache
directory. If there is, delete it all. Then try looking?
You describe the right method.
Let us know?

Ok I made some progress but now im having a database issue this is what comes up when I try to update
Can’t select database
We were able to connect to the database server (which means your username and password is okay) but not able to select the database.
* Are you sure it exists?
* On some systems the name of your database is prefixed with your username, so it would be like username_wordpress. Could that be the problem?
I have been trying to log into the phpMyAdmin but a blank page comes up.
