   I can rename the wp-content folder.
   I can move wp-config file etc

   One thing that I am still having problems with is either renaming or moving the themes folder.

   So instead of:
   domain.com/wp-content/themes/all_theme_files

   I want something like:
   domain.com/files/all_theme_files

   or even:
   domain.com/all_theme_files

   Is this possible?

   Don't think it's possible. May I ask why you want to do this?
