Yes how do you remove them ????
The persistent grey box on the home page that says “Zunnia” and has a link to the latest blog post. That grey box. I can’t find a way to shut it off, either. Surely there is an easy fix. Otherwise the template is great.
@shane2ee & @karen97701: If you require assistance then, as per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic instead of tagging onto someone else’s topic.
Can I have a site URL and point me to the direct grey box? I still don’t see the grey box.
Hi Wongpk
Please can I contact you via email to resolve as my site is still in the construction stage?
Thank you
@alongcamejay: Please do not solicit contact via email. Posting your email address or asking others to contact you off forums is really frowned upon here. This is to protect users and to prevent people from trying to solicit work or harvest email addresses from the forums.
Additionally, the point of these community-based forums is to help each other in a public space so that the whole community can benefit from the discussion and any solutions proposed. Private discussions take this benefit away. If you would prefer a one-to-one discussion, please try http://directory.codepoet.com/ or http://jobs.wordpress.net/
Yes @alongcamejay do let me know the site URL and point to me where is the grey box you’re referring to, a screenshot at least.
The home page has the grey box with the text Zunnia at http://www.alongcamejay.com/
Thanks
That is the active menu background color.
Do this:
1- Install and activate Jetpack
2- Activate Custom CSS from Jetpack
3- Go to Appearance -> Edit CSS
4- Add this code:
.nav .current-menu-item > a,
.nav .current-menu-ancestor > a,
.nav .current_page_item > a,
.nav .current_page_ancestor > a {
background-color: none !important;
}
That should do it.
Thanks I will give that a try and let you know.
I have gone into
Appearance
Edit CSS
CSS Stylesheet Editor and pasted the code there but still the grey box?
Not sure what to try next.
@alongcamejay try transparent instead:
.nav .current-menu-item > a,
.nav .current-menu-ancestor > a,
.nav .current_page_item > a,
.nav .current_page_ancestor > a {
background-color: transparent !important;
}
Yes – when I put a blog post up I also get a grey Zunnia graphic too…my blog post title is in this graphic. Any help from a member with 0 coding skills.
Thanks!
