Removing trackback/pings resulting in layout problem (5 posts)

    Without the bit of code for the trackback url, the first comment box shifts over and throws off the layout. I have tried adding everything from an invisible spacer, to the old fashioned paragraph tags, non breaking spaces, and breaking spaces, but can't seem to rectify the situation.

    Looks fine when you select to view comments on same page, but when viewing the entry via permalink, it's all screwy shoving my left hand menu below the main content. Witness:

    looks like you just need a line break.
    search for [ol id="commentlist"] and add a [br /] (replace [ ] with < > ) above it. In the comments file I think.

    Just FYI but in firefox the menu on the left disappears to the bottom of the page (didn't check IE).

    Um, I know. That's what the post is about. It doesn't do that unless you're on the actual permalink page.

    Also, as I said, I've tried breaking spaces (br) without results.

    Thanks anyway. Anyone else?

    Sorry - didn't read the first paragraph (too late/early).

    Did you try several in a row to see if it had any effect at all?
    If there was no effect then I would guess that it's a CSS issue.

    Do you still know what the original trackback code was?(Any CSS involved?) It might give a clue as to what's missing.

    Yes, it pushes the comments down but the first box remains shoved over to one side, throwing the menu bar down.

    After turning off trackback pings I made this bit of code invisible:

    <!--
    <?php trackback_rdf(); ?>
    -->
