Removing "Theme by" Question (2 posts)

I was wondering if we are allowed to remove the "Theme by..." section from the bottom of a template? I realize that if no changes have been made to the template than you definately can't. However, on this site I made for my school, I changed the color of the header/footer, added pictures, and changed a good amount in the source files.

It's not a big deal if I can't, I already moved the credit to the lower section because when I changed the color of the footer you couldn't read it.

Also, can I remove the "Valid XHTML 1.1 and CSS 3" part?

There don't seem to be any restrictions in the README.txt file, so you should be able to remove the text. I would drop the developer an email letting him know, just as a courtesy.

And you can remove the "Valid XHTML 1.1 and CSS 3" part.
