• I personally would like to remove all the WordPress logos and links on my blog and replace them with my own pictures and links. Unfortunately, I do not know how to do it or where to find all the files since there is a multitude of them. So if anyone could help me find an easier way to remove the logos and links, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank You!

  • You can remove the links from the blogroll by logging in and deleting them in the links area of your admin panel.

As far as the other logos and links….I don’t believe WordPress places any logo on the site for the public to see except for on the login screen (wp-login.php) and the only public link is in the footer and maybe one under the Meta menu (located in your theme).

Seems reasonable to leave at least one public link though…maybe in the footer, to give credit where credit is due.

Reasonable or not – it is NOT required. You can remove whatever you want.
(and there is never “an easier way”… just hard work!)

True…I don’t believe I said it was required.

    Peace 🙂

There is a wordpress logo, for example, om the dashboard and a link on the homepage…….

I am going to put a sponsors page on my site where I will have links and description of those who in essences sponsored my site, like wordpress sponsored my blogs. Something like that. =)

The dashboard is not publicly viewable though.

Like “moshu” said, you’ve got a bit of work ahead of you. basically, you should be searching (recursively) through all the directories in your installation and look for anything which links to “wordpress.org”. Doing a quick grep, I see this:

    grep -ir "wordpress\.org" * | cut -f1 -d: | sort | uniq
