Removing the Sidebar for Select Pages in Twenty-Eleven (5 posts)

    I'm attempting to create two pages - an email signature page and a "thank you" page.

    I would like both pages to have content only - no sidebar on either.

    I'm using Aweber as my email list service and I would like to post an email sign-up form on my home page, and have a separate page for my blog roll. I then want to have a "thank you" page to direct email subscribers to after they have signed up.

    So those are the two pages without sidebars I am trying to create. Does anyone know how I can remove the sidebars from these select pages?

    Thanks!

    by default, Twenty Eleven does not have sidebars in static pages;

    what have you done to have those sidebars?

    are you using page tempaltes for the pages?

    are you using a child theme?

    please post a link to your site to illustrate what you have so far.

    I am using a child theme. I am also using the "content on left" default layout under appearance - theme options.

    Thanks

    you seem to be using the 'theme extension' plugin;
    does this have separate options for sidebars on single posts and pages?

    if so, you could just use the plugin to add a sidebar to single posts, and regulate the pages with the normal default page template and the 'Sidebar Page' template.

    Yes I am using the 'theme extensions' plugin.

    I just experimented with a couple of different methods. First I changed my default layout to "one-column, no sidebar". Then I experimented with the three page layout options that this theme extension offers (there are no individual post options regarding sidebar/no sidebar). The three template options under 'page attributes' when editing the page are; default template, showcase template, and sidebar template. I thought the sidebar template would add the sidebar back into my page but it did not. Showcase template was strange - it added my posts down below the page with some funky sidebar action, it's definitely not what I am looking for either.

    Any other ideas? Thanks for your help.
