Removing sort drop down list from woocommerce

I am using Woocommerce with a propulsion theme. I have having problems with the look of the Shop which now contains a page wide drop down list for sorting the products.
Can anyone tell me how to remove this drop down list altogether?
I have tried using the following css with no luck. Please help!
