Removing Metabox for “Slug”

    Here is an interesting question.

    I have recently noticed that if you utilize the code

    remove_meta_box(‘slugdiv’, ‘post’, ‘normal’);
    but it dosen’t work
    if you Click the following html editing area
    the “Slug”Metabox will also appear
    I want to complete remove the “Slug” Metabox
    Can anyone provide a solution to this problem? Thanks in advance.

    Does the use case really require that it be totally removed, or is hiding it via the screen options tab an a possibility. It may possible to set it as hidden by default using a snippet in your theme or a plugin.
