Removing Meta data from side-bar (6 posts)

    When I first started with WP, I left the Meta data in the sidebar. But now I think I'd like to remove it (or at least remove the Log-in option) and I played around with sidebar.php but I don't know enough about coding and ended up removing my entire sidebar. Fortunately I'd kept a copy of the php file prior to editing and restored it.

    But I'm wondering now, how to remove the Log-In/Admin options since I can access via other bookmarks and I feel a bit vulnerable having that exposed.

    Thanks if you can give me a tip. I imagine it's not that hard to do, I just don't have the specific knowledge.

    Hi MDBlogs!

    I think the only way we can help is if you post the code of your sidebar.php here, do it using the "code" button above the "Message" area, os it reads better.

    Regards, hope we'll help you with that soon ;)

    Just remove this code from your sidebar.php to remove meta and login/log out options from sidebar

    <li><h2><?php _e('Meta', 'elegant-grunge') ?></h2>
    			<ul>
    				<?php wp_register(); ?>
    				<li><?php wp_loginout(); ?></li>

    				<?php wp_meta(); ?>
    			</ul>
    			</li>

    Thanks Kapil, I'm grateful. Except it didn't seem to remove the Log-in option from my Meta category. I removed exactly the items you suggested. Another suggestion?
