• I tried to delete a Facebook widget and it’s now leaving a message on all of my pages saying “In Archive” November 3013.
Does anybody know how to get rid of this? It definitely has something to do with me deleting the code to the widget but I have no idea how to fix this. The widget issues are beyond stressful.

Also, I have my pages set up to be one column but they appear to still act like 2 columns because I can’t get the text to the right side of the page.

    Thanks,

  • Looks like you need to change the home page template you have selected. For help with Responsive theme, try here:

My home page has been fine and it wasn’t until I deleted the code for the Facebook widget about 30 minutes ago that I got that ‘In Archive’ message.

Where that message is located is exactly where the Facebook widget was located.

What template do you have selected for the home page? Is the current one the one you want?

How did you delete that widget?

Have you tried removing the current widget under Appearance > Widget?

I’m using the ‘Responsive’ Template and I followed Tyler Moore’s tutorial online to clear out the content that was already there. I haven’t gotten to building the home page yet because I’m trying to get rid of these issues.

When I deleted the widget, I went to the widget page and I found the code text that I had cut and pasted into a widget text box. I merely deleted the text and as soon as I did, I got that ‘In Archive’ message.

When I go to the Appearance/Widget page, the ‘Archive’ widget isn’t even active.

    I’m using the ‘Responsive’ Template

That’s why I suggested that you ask on the forum specific to that theme

Looks like it may have default widgets. Try putting an empty text widget in the sidebar.

Also, I have my pages set up to be one column but they appear to still act like 2 columns because I can’t get the text to the right side of the page.

That’s because you have a sidebar on that template – you need to pick another one for the home page.

I have added the blank text box and that took care of the page looking like it was split into two columns. Thanks for that tidbit. Don’t understand how it fixed the problem but at least it’s looking a bit better.

My current issue is that I’ve added a new page and published it. When I go to Appearance/Menus, it doesn’t show up for me to be able to select it to add to my other menu pages. I currently have 6 pages that are visible but this one won’t appear. Is there a limit to how many pages you can have? When I’m in Appearance/Menu’s, I used to see all of my pages on the left of the screen with a tick box beside them so that I could select them and put them in the order I wanted and then they would appear on the right side of my screen in the correct order. I no longer see any pages on the left of my screen.
