removing elements from sidebar in wordpress blog hosted by 1and1 (2 posts)

I have a blog hosted by 1and1, which I update through the hosting company's interface - it's a WordPress blog. I cannot for the life of me remove the danged calendar in the sidebar. It's taking up valuable real estate and I want it gone. I also want to add other stuff there, and I don't want to have to play around with coding - I don't know enough to do it correctly and quickly. But - obviously - there's no user interface button to click or declick. So monkey with it, I guess I must. OK - but how? I apparently have an option to upload new CSS or what-have-you code but I can't just tinker with what's already there.

Is this a 1and1 question? Or a WordPress question? And if the latter, how do I get where I want to be without tearing hair?

URL is http://www.scbankruptcyblog.com. Thanks in advance.

Did you follow the directions there?

Also this could be a widget that you could remove in Presentation, Sidebar Widgets.
