    I can't seem to figure out how to take the words "comments off" off of my blog page. It is overlapping with part of my post's title. I'm using the vita 1.6 by Nurudin Jauhari theme. Look at the link below to see what I'm talking about.

    Any ideas??

    That text is coming from this template tag:

    <?php comments_popup_link('0', '1', '%'); ?>

    You'll find it in several template files within your Theme, including index.php, archive.php, and search.php.

    You'll need to look for "the Loop" in one or some of your template files (probably index.php, among others) and take out the part where it shows the comments, which will likely be right after the_title(). Looks like it'll be from <span class="commr"> to the </span> two lines later. The loop will start with something like while ( have_posts() ) : the_post();.

    Edit: Jeez Chip, we keep overlapping. I should have refreshed before actually submitting! :)

    if you can't locate it in your tempate files (have a look into index.php; look possibly for 'comments_popup_link()' http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/comments_popup_link ), then use css to hide it;
    add something like this to style.css of your theme:

    span.commr span { display: none; }

    this will hide it possibly sidewide.

    You could open up style.css in you editor and add a "display:none;" to the following def:

    .commr {
    position: absolute;
    right: 0;
    top: 0;
    text-align: center;
    display:none;
    }

    if you're looking for a quick and dirty way of removing it in your theme. The above options are good, complete solutions. Just thinking my idea maybe less intimidating.

    I was having the same problem with my theme, I opened comments.php and deleted everything in the tag below

    <?php if ('closed' == $post->comment_status) : if (!is_page()) : ?>

    <?php endif; else: ?>

    boom problem solved.
