Please can someone assist me in how to remove comments from my pages. I've done it before but have forgotten how I did it.

I am using a multi site setup and am not sure where to look and which files. I searched the subject and it seems that I need to remove <?php comments_popup_link('0 comments', '1 comment',
    '% comments', 'comments-link', 'Comments off'); ?>
    from the comment-template.php file.

I looked in the editor under appearance I only have a (comments.php) and (comments_legacy.php) file and neither have the above code.

    Please can someone assist.

    Thanks

    Only for Pages or site-wide?

In the Dashboard go to Settings -> Discussion and uncheck the 3rd checkbox (Allow people to post comments on new articles).

To remove the code from the templates, you'll need to edit several templates for each site theme.
