Removing 'back to site' link & adding some text

Hey guys, I would like to add some text (2 short paras) above the login box & remove the ‘back to site’ link if possible.

I would also like, if possible, that once someone registers with the site they are re-directed to the inner pages of the website instead of the wp dashboard. Perhaps all I need to do is edit the welcome email they receive but how do I do that?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
