Removing /author/ posts (3 posts)

    Hi
Google has indexed my site posts by author like this

    mysite.com/author/myname/posts

However I want to prevent this from happening as I am aiming to create a very tight silo type site, and the above links dilute this.

Can anyone suggest the best way to prevent these pages being indexed?

    Thanks!

    Tony

You could try adding the following to your robots.txt file in the root directory of your website

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /author/

Or look for a plugin that dies the same thing. Example:

You could make an .htaccess rule that /author/ redirects to your front page.
