When I go to the "Add a new post" page, a notification in yellow is always posted on top reminding me that based on my current theme, you should upload images no wider than 760px. I would like to remove this notification from showing up on that page but have no idea which file to edit. I appreciate any help/feedback!

Try looking in the theme's functions.php file.

Then I'm afraid you'll have to start looking through the other .php files.
