Remove/Disable permalinks

    Hi guys

    This is my first post. I dont want the permalink feature. I want my blog titles to be just titles and not clickable links. I just want it to be text.

    How do I go about doing this. I’ve searched all over the cloud for some simple answer. But all of them include messing with .htaccess file. Is there no way I can just switch off the feature using the online wordpress interface.

    What is the most simplest way to do this.

    Under Setting > Permalinks

    Choose Custom Structure and put this in the field: /%postname%/

    Thanks a lot dskallam. I’ve just understood how the permalink thing works. So I tweaked your solution a bit so that the link goes to the page of the full post.

    I hope this is not bad wordpress practice
