Removed malware, reinstalled core files, now I can't log in to the admin panel

    I removed malware in the wp-content version of my site by removing the code, and then re-installed all the php files in the non wp-content directories. The site works now as the malware is gone, but when I try to access the admin I get the following error message;

    Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home5/nativere/public_html/nr/wp-content/themes/neutica/functions.php:2) in /home5/nativere/public_html/nr/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 890

    HELP!!!

    and the admin panel url thats registering the error message is http://www.nativeresonance.com/nr/wp-admin/theme-editor.php

    try and rename that function.php file in the theme and upload the function.php file that came with the theme.

    Sounds like the first line in functions.php may be blank

    check it out. The first line must be the <?php no blank lines above or spaces before

    then what’s at line 2 of functions.php?

    That is the error when the first line is blank.

    Delete/rename the neutica theme to default back to the twentyten theme, that’ll at least get you in

    I’d delete the theme, sign into WP, and then reinstall a fresh copy of the theme
