• Hi,

I am relatively new to wordpress and php – and I am currently making a new website: http://www.glvolunteers.com with the Praseodymiumic Theme.

I have successfully removed the comment option from all pages, but now I am trying to get rid of the Twitter and RSS Feed in the sidebar of subpages (and posts), and the Twitter feed from the footer of the home page. Tried to mess with the twitter php and got a fatal error message (had to reinstall the whole thing)… so I am trying to avoid that!

I am also trying to remove the archive and categories from subpages and the footer of the home page…

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  • Those should just be widgets, check your Dashboard / Appearance / Widgets

Hi… no unfortunately not, there are no widgets in the sidebar under my Dashboard/ Appearance/ Widgets… I even tried to move them into the below “inactive widgets area”, but it doesn’t help… they are still showing up on the site.

    Thanks for the thought though!

Ok, I just downloaded and reviewed the theme. It contains a file called sidebar-foot.php that does allow for setting up widgets just above the footer.

Here’s the catch: it defaults to the current setup you want to eliminate. If there are no widgets within those specific areas, then the default ones activate.

    Thank you so much!

Changed the widgets and now it looks way better…

Although I am still trying to get rid of the “archives” in the forth footer on every page (home and subpages)…

In the theme option it only allows me to place widgets in the first three columns – the forth doesn’t show up!

What can I do about that?

Thanks so much for your help… 🙂
