Remove the word “category” in category url and the subcategory in post url

    Hello,

    A lot of posts concern the removing of the word “category” in the category link, there is an excellent plugin that works with WordPress 2.3.1 : Remove Parents

    But there is another problem, I would like to delete also the subcategory in the post links, for example :

    site.com/technology/a-robot-that-plays-violin-56

    becomes

    site.com/a-robot-that-plays-violin-56

    When I delete “/%category%” in the permalinks, the post links is ok but no more the category links. I have sent an email to the author but no answer.

    How can I do ?
