Remove responsiveness in child theme (3 posts)

This should be an easy answer, but I can't find it. Is there an easy way to prevent a child theme from inheriting @media rules from its parent theme without touching the parent theme's CSS files?

I am using twentyeleven as a parent theme, but I don't want to have to make changes to the twentyeleven's CSS files to prevent my child theme from inheriting some of the responsiveness.

You don't stop it. You add CSS to the child theme to over-write it.

Thanks for the reply. So if I want, for example, nothing to happen at a certain max-width point defined in the parent theme, I have to hunt down the original values for all two dozen selectors and set them back?
