I use a blog with registered users. When a user goes to his profile and writes something inside the Quote of the Day text box, then the message is shon on the top of my blog. I have to go to my profile and delete it, especially of the message is offensive.
How do I remove completely Quote of the Day from my blog?
Or else, how do I disable it?

I'm confused as to why something someone does on their profile would appear on YOUR blog? If you mean there are several users all posting to the same blog then if the others agreed, you would disable and delete the plugin.

Yeap that's what I'm asking for. But WHERE is the plugin to delete it? Can't find it anywhere!

Under plugins in the admin panel.

There is no plugin named Quote of the Day... Not even in the folder "plugins" via FTP. :S

Then are you sure it's something users are doing or is it the hello dolly plugin which automatically generates quotes? Although that doesn't put them on your actual website, just the admin panel.

Because if you're sure it's the quote of the day plugin then it HAS to be there.

It's the users that do it. They sometimes get confused and write it in the qotd box instead of the comments box. And if they write there, then it shows up on the frontpage of my blog just under the site logo. The "hello dolly" plugin is deactivated.
Where the heck is qotd to get rid of it!
Can you provide a link to where this is happening?

If it's a plugin which quote of the day IS, then it HAS to be under plugins. admin/plugins.

I'm kinda confused I guess. You keep saying that the users type something in and it shows up on YOUR blog but if it's a multiple user blog then it's their blog too?

Again: I 'm admin and there are about 500 registered users. A registered user writes something on the "Quote of the Day" text box (located on every user's profile page). The message he writes is published on the front page of my blog and it is visible to everyone, both registered and visitors.

Your "Today's Quote" box is not part of WordPress' core functionality, so a plugin has to be causing it. Deactivate all plugins then clear your browser's cache. If the box goes away, reactivate each one until it shows up again. Then, you'll know which plugin is causing it.

Well, it has to be under plugins if it's a plugin. However, for it to appear on your site, the code must be in the theme files. Just remove the code.

I still try to locate it... Now it is not shown cause I submited a blank quote... :(
Well, something put it there, and it wasn't WordPress. In order for the "quotes" to be submitted to anything, a third-party tool or plugin would have to be involved.
Some plugins can display on their own, but others require tags to be placed into the theme files in order to call the plugin. As thisisedie mentioned, removing the code (if it exists) will stop the box from displaying.

I tried firebug but didn't help much. So I located it in the theme code and removed it! Thank you guys!
