How do I delete post meta from static pages? I've been trying to figure out what the code is called so I can remove it from all page templates, but I can not find it.

Yes, I know that post meta and the comment field disappears when I disable the comments but I want to avoid having to do this every time I create a page. I will never allow any comments or wish to display the date and author on static pages.

I have created a child theme so my changes will be secured.

    Thanks!

For others, check these files to remove post-meta:

    post-meta-page.php (affects page.php, full-width-page, content-sidebar-page.php, content-sidebar-half-page.php)
    sidebar-content-page.php
    sidebar-content-half-page.php
