The site I’m running is an informational site with nearly all static pages, and I need to remove the “Leave a Reply” box from the pages. People are encouraged to use the Contact Us page rather than trying to comment on pages.

Can you provide specific information on which file[s] contain the code for commenting, and how to comment it out, or remove altogether, please? (and yes, I know I’m supposed to first create a child theme, thanks.)

  • This is a WordPress option that you can control under the Discussions admin page. But each individual post and page also has controls that you might need to turn off. Click on the Screen Options in the top right if you don’t see the Discussions box on your post/page edit screen.

    Hi!
How do you manage totake out the comments? I haven’t been able yet 🙁
has diselected in all the options.
    Thanks for your help.
