    Hector, thanks for the very functional plugin. I’m not a WP coder so I’m not at all clear how to go about changing the setup so that WPP won’t include my About and Contact pages in the most popular posts list. I believe I need to set:

    post_type=post

    However, I’m not at all clear about where to do this! Can you point me in the right direction?

    Hi there,

    Here’s an example posted a couple of days ago.

    Thanks Hector, but can you tell me what file I add the PHP to?

    It depends on where you want to show it, mostly. For example, if you want the list to be displayed on your blog’s sidebar, you’d need to edit your theme’s sidebar.php and add the code there.

    There’s also the possibility of using the WPP widget, which IMHO is easier to manipulate than using the PHP code. Does your current theme support widgets? If so, head to Appeareance > Widgets, pick WordPress Popular Posts and drag it onto your sidebar – after that, you’ll be able to configure it to your liking.

    I do have it as a sidebar and my theme does support it nicely (blog.pcserenity.com) and somehow I missed that. I was seeing everything but that. Thanks for the stupidity-bump-to-the-head. Much needed.

    No problem. Enjoy the plugin!
