Remove Pages from Admin (4 posts)

    Hi,

I'm creating a WordPress site for my friend, and I want to be able to cut out some pages from the Admin so that they can't mess things up! Is there a way to do this? I can find a plugin that removes the dashboard, and i can find ways to add in pages, but not the other way around?
I can do it by hard editing the code, but this is obviously not a good idea as upgrades would then be a nightmare!

    Thanks!

You might check out this plugin:

If you want to allow them to post and such, but not have access to plugins, templates and that sort of thing, you can set yourself up as "admin" and set the friend up a "contributor". That'll allow them to post and edit their profile.

Alternatively, if you're just worried about theme files, you can set them to not be writable through the admin panel (change the file permissions to 644).
