My groups have extra group fields that I really don’t want anymore.
I did not have your plugin installed, but I may have installed it a long time ago to make them in the first place.

I can’t remember how I put them there, but your plugin is the only way I think I would have been able to do it.

I have now installed your latest version and the extended group fields do not appear for me to edit.

Do I need to use the “import” function in the back end to import them to edit, or could this cause me a bigger problem ?

    Help

Well I tried the import and it didn’t work. So I think I’m stuffed.

I don’t understand what extra group fields you are referring to.

As I understand, you created them with some plugin and not BPGE. If that the case – my plugin can’t help you, as this is the territory of that code or plugin, not mine.

Import only works for importing fields into groups from set of fields created by you in plugin admin area.

OK, can I ask you this to help better understand my situation?

Your plugin has this option :
“On BPGE deactivation you can delete or preserve all its settings and created content (like groups pages and fields). What do you want to do?”

If I choose preserve all data are the fields and the information kept “as-is” after I remove the plugin?

If you choose “preserve” that – data in database won’t be deleted.
But it won’t be displayed as well, as this is the BPGE plugin functionality. When you will decide to activate BPGE again – it will appear.

Then I have no idea how I have made these group fields and this is not your problem.
    Thank you

I can try to help if you give me some screenshot of how those fields look like, where are they.
