remove golden Eagle Lite theme button feature

    Hi,
    i’m new to wordpress and i’m using the Golden Eagle Lite theme to build a simple site for a friend. The problem is that the section with text and the button at the home page is something i dont need….Is it possible through the editor and css/php code to remove this feature?
