    hi,

i am looking to remove / eliminate the gallery scrolling feature to and from image to image. if i can't remove it from my nextgen-gallery plugin, is there another plugin i should install that doesn't have that feature that is art gallery friendly please?

    thanks, Jordan

hi and thanks for your response to me,

let me try and put it in other words:

i'm using WordPress 2010 Weaver with NextGEN Gallery plugin pre-installed. i want to turn off the slider feature in it, if possible. can i do that and if so how, please? and if not, do you know of an alternative gallery plugin i could use for that, that has no slider feature or one that can be turned off, please?

i hope that makes sense and thanks again.

ps. my website is http://jordanorleans.com/. if you go to the Gallery page or Originals page, you'll see what i mean about the slider (or scrolling) feature, whereby you can click from one imge to the next and in reverse too. it's like a slide show. and, i would like to get rid of that feature and just be able to click in and out of images, without being able to got to and from images. thanks.

@JordanOrleans If you set "No lightbox" in "Lightbox effects", images are displayed in a browser mode and you get rid of the arrows.

Hi and thanks for your response to me,

I’m in Gallery > Options > Effects > JavaScript Thumbnail effect with different options there, including: Shutter (which is what it’s set to), None, Thickbox, Lightbox, Highslide, Shutter, Custom. First off, am I in the right place, please? and, if so, which option should I select, please? It sounds like, based on what you're saying, I should select None, is that right? And, if I'm not in the right place, where should I be, please?

    Thanks much, Jordan

@JordanOrleans - Are you using the latest version of NextGEN Gallery as that menu path does not exist as you have presented it?

    Thanks!

no, i'm not using the latest version, i'm using Version 1.8.4 that's in 2010 Weaver. my web guy did some custom stuff like, losing the hovering effects and the NextGEN borders, to isloltae my images to look better, per my instructions. and, i don't want to disrupt things too much, as i don't want to lose those custom effects and have to start over with it, thanks.

@JordanOrleans - We strongly recommend updating to the latest version but I can understand if your "web guy" has made some customization that you need for your site. It may be best for you to contact them again to sort out what needs to be done.

@JordanOrleans - No worries. You might consider giving the current NextGEN Gallery a try on a test server to see if it will accomplish what your customized NextGEN Legacy version does.

    Best of Luck!
