    Hiya -

I'm creating a website using wordpress as a CMS with a few different custom post types for different types of content.

What I'd like to know is how to remove, unregister or at least re-name the default post type (current called 'posts').

Have anyone done this or know how?

    Many thanks
    Stef

    Great - thanks.

I'll try it out after then weekend.
It was mainly to keep things simple for my client when they are in the admin back end. I found a work around by hiding the 'Posts' menu from them which did the job, but this might be the cleaner way to to do it.

    Many thanks!
