Remove Category Name From Links List (2 posts)

    I'd like to edit the links.php file to NOT include the link category name when it's pulled into my sidebar. The part of the code that needs editing (I believe) is below. I've found ways to remove it, but they all cause errors when I attempt to update the css or main php files.
    ------------------
    // Display the category name
    echo ' <li id="'.sanitize_title($cat['cat_name']).'">' . stripslashes($cat['cat_name']) . "\n\t

      \n";
      // Call get_links() with all the appropriate params
      get_links($cat['link_category'],
      '

    • ',"
    • ","\n",
      bool_from_yn($cat['show_images']),
      $orderby,
      bool_from_yn($cat['show_description']),
      bool_from_yn($cat['show_rating']),
      $cat['list_limit'],
      bool_from_yn($cat['show_updated']));
      // Close the last category
      echo "\n\t

    \n

  2. \n";

    Use CSS ?
    The link cat colour is styled by #menu ul , so if you make the colour there the same as your page, it will disappear.....
