what do you mean by remove categories? you mean delete them or not displaying them? those are 2 different things. you don’t have to display them if you don’t want to.
if you want to remove (like delete) categories, then you can delete all categories one by one (but you’ll have to keep one, your “news”), all the posts will be automatically reassigned to the default category “news”.
I mean not display all categories in the blog. Only the category “news”.
you mean from the menu or from side bar?
if from the menu create a custom menu, and add your category news to the menu
(the other categories will not be displayed)
if from the side bar, remove the categories widget and add a text widget where you put html code like this : News
so it displays only the News category

It is from the Blog page, where appear all the posts.
I only want to show in that page the “news” category.
