    I want to remove the byline from the top of all my pages, but I want the byline to remain on the top of all my blog posts. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    Harry

    Depends on your theme, but you can generally use CSS to target pages, but not posts using the page-specific classes output in the body tag.

    P.S. I'm using the Responsive theme. It has a single.php file and a pages.php file, but the pages.php file does not have the_author() anywhere. The single.php file does, but, again, I want to keep the author on the blog posts.

    So, I go into the style.css, and I see the body tag, and I can do something like

    body.page

    But then what do I put after that?

    I'd have to see your site to help with CSS questions.

    Try adding this to your custom CSS section:

    .page h1.entry-title {
       display: none;
    }

    BTW, for future help with this theme, you may want to use the Developers' forums here:

    Thanks so much! I actually wanted

    .page div.post-meta {
    	display: none;
    }

    but I never could have figured that out without you! Super helpful.

    Oh sorry, duh. But I'm glad you got it figured out yourself- even better :)!
