I'm working on getting menu coded into theme. I got much of it completed, but I ran into an issue with the tabs. I am trying to get the tab which is active to not have a border at the bottom so it appears to be open, to give the impression it is connected to the content area. I was looking for direction into how to achieve this. Is it a matter of removing border from top of content wrapper, putting border on header area, and creating a visible overflow? I've heard of that but never tried it. I believe this effect can be seen in the wordpress.org site, and many other templates (including the default theme for buddypress), but I can't see how to do it from any of those examples. Thank you for any suggestions. Here is the link to site I am working on: http://www.lifeleap.org/go/

After hours of searching through a lot of garbage, the best solution I found was a tutorial from 2003:

    http://www.alistapart.com/articles/slidingdoors/

It demonstrates a method using, using images, to bleed the current tab through the border.

Has anyone seen anything like this, but css based instead of image based? I'm trying to get away from using images as much as possible. Thank you for any help.

    This isn't a WordPress issue.
Why don't you just add top: 1px; to the selected anchor element?
