• Please remove the block on similar urls in regards to pages, custom post types, and taxonomies. I forget about this all the time and when I remember it forces you to use bizarre, inconsistent directory names.

    I understand it is well intended to prevent slug conflicts, but seriously, what is the likelihood that anyone in their right mind would actually name a post “page/2” ?

    Maybe just change it to a warning like bbPress is doing “Possible conflict with “X-Title-Name”

    There isn’t a way to manually override this is there?

    This is a longtime issue with WP: Why can’t you have pages hotels/MO/springfield and hotels/IL/springfield and hotels/OH/springfield …? Look in the Bug Tracker and you’ll find tickets from five years ago on this subject. It’s one of the last things WP needs to tackle to be a “real” Content Management System.
