remove and redo it all over

Hi,

I don’t know much about coding and I’m struggling to get this done. I had a blog that been inactive for a while. It doesn’t have many posts on it yet and I’m thinking about taking it down. This might be a silly question but I just don’t know how to do it. Do I need to delete the database? Which one would it be? I already backed up the database to my local drive but I’m not sure how to take it out from the directory. Could you please show me some directions? I’d like to redo this all over again.
