    As far as I can see, the textarea in settings for dbem_event_list_item_format_header, though blank is putting in <p></p> tags right before and after the events list.

    I'd rather not edit core files for the plugin but I could. Or if there is a hook for this I'd be pumped.

    It would make sense that if the before and after textareas have nothing in them then they shouldn't be placing any code into rendered wp pages.

    This is under events manager -> settings -> events format -> Default event list format header and Default event list format footer

    Oooops. got the wordpress version wrong, I put in the plugin version. The wp version I'm on is 3.1

    i believe that's caused by the tinymce editor, or the the_content filter which is passed through the description placeholders before they're shown

    Yeah, that's weird. I just styled the p tags outside of my content to not show. thanks.
