I have read posts on the removal of the side bar and then how to then use the space but i cant find the relevant information to my theme/template. I am a complete newbie so maybe i just dont understand.
i am using the standard WordPress 404 theme and one column no sidebar page template. I have managed to delete the side bar and want to fill the space but how do i do this.
My website is http://www.wolvestrees.co.uk.
thanks.
As you post yr stuff you should be able to select the single column template on the right in admin........assuming yr themer didnt remove this vital functionality
oh
professional only has one "f" ;)
What did you want to fill the space with? expanding the content or something else?
it's actually designed to be used with widgets (Appearance > Widgets).
I want the text and images to expand into the area that is supposed to be for the widgets as i have no need for widgets and the page layout looks abit odd with all that blank space.
I have read some posts where people have to change the css or php but i cant find anything relevant to the template/theme i am using, which is standard WordPress 404 theme and one column no sidebar page template.
I have been through all the menus in Appearance, Tools and Settings. I think i need to change something in the template php or css but dont have a clue what it is.
Hope you can help.
in admin as u post a page of content on the right is a selector box for the template.in this case u are looking for full page or full width or similar..........
Thanks, that has sort of worked. the text and images have gone from the left of the page to the centre, but they still dont fill the whole width. Any ideas?
