   Hello Forum Folks,

   My query is on the behalf of a mother who wishes that her deceased daughter's wordpress be removed. We don't know any login information.

   What is the best way to go about this?

   You'd have to contact the web hosting company that hosts it. Hopefully if you answer the security questions correctly, they would be able to remove the files/close the account. Even if you can't, eventually there would be billing issues and the account would most likely be closed anyway.

   If her blog was hosted on WordPress.com, contact them here:

   http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/

   WordPress.com hosts many blogs that are free so they will stay active forever until they are deleted by the user.

   If you are not sure who the Host is do a WHOIS Lookup on her Domain Name, many sites offer that service for free.

   Thank you both for your help. It is hosted on WordPress.com and I just messaged the Support team.
