relevanssi premium 1.8.2.1 conflict with advanced custom fields 3.3.6

Greetings — Our sge.lclark.edu site runs both Relevanssi Premium latest and Advanced Custom Fields latest. We have had problems with the search functionality in the ACF Relationship field, and have traced it to a conflict with Relevanssi: when we deactivate the plugin, the ACF field works correctly (i.e., search terms entered in upper left result in related titles list in lower left…when not working, entry of search characters causes list in lower left to disappear). I believe all was working with the immediate previous versions of both plugins, but when we updated over the last two wks we discovered this problem.
