Relevanssi and GD star rating interference

    Hi Mikko!

    Thanks for a great plugin! I have a but for you 🙂

    When Relevanssi and the very popular plugin GD star rating are installed at the same time there are severe issues:

    1. Pages with the GD-star rating cannot be saved properly.
    2. Relevanssi crashes when trying to index the site.

    I have the last version of Relevanssi (3.1.6) and tested on several wordpress versions, also the latest (3.5.1), and the interference is always there.

    The easiest way to reproduce the problem is to install GD star rating on one of your sites, put in a shortcode (for example [starrater tpl=56 read_only=1 post=49], where you replace 49 with the number of your page), and then try to save the page.

    If that does not reveal the problem, PM me and I can give you access to a testsite that I dont need right now where the problem can be observed.

    Does the problem go away, if you set Relevanssi not to expand shortcodes?

    And Yes! The problem goes away when I set Relevanssi not to expand shortcodes! I had missed that settings!

    Great. Relevanssi Premium has a feature where you can disable individual short codes, which is good for this.

    But I’ll fix this in the next version, I’ll make Relevanssi disable the [starrater] shortcode when indexing.
