Relevanssi looks like a great plugin.
I am just discovering it and have yet to figure out all it’s capabilities.

However I already experience issues with it preventing me from investigating further and deploying it

    1-ACCENT
The first problem I have is that the display of the search result is accent specific. a search for “Tokyo” seems to match properly against “Tōkyō” (if we strictly follow Japanese pronunciation is the correct way of writing Japan’s capital in roman character). However the words “Tōkyō” do not get highlighted. Is there a way arround it ?

    2-NO SUPPORT OF ASIAN LANGUAGES
Relevanssi doesn’t support Asian languages. This issue has been raised before (http://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-relevanssi-a-better-search-plugin-relevanssi-doesnt-fully-support-chinese) and I understand that there’s no plan to do anything about it. At least for people like who run their site in multilanguage using WPML, having the ability to use Relevanssi for roman language and having the option to revert back to default search for asian language would make Relevanssi partly usable.
Is there a way by removing filters or other to revert back to wordpress search (i.e. add a code in the page that checks if the current language is Japanese and if yes reverts to wordpress search)

    1. Search results are not accent specific, but the highlighting is. No way around it right now.

    2. Remove function ‘relevanssi_query’ from the ‘the_posts’ filter hook to disable Relevanssi.
