Relative Path Issue with New Installation (2 posts)

I just installed WordPress but there seems to be a problem with the relative path calls in the various files...

Here's the error when I visit the http://DOMAIN/b/ which holds my wp installation:

Warning: main() [function.main]: Unable to access ./wp-blog-header.php in /var/www/DOMAIN/public_html/b/index.php on line 4

Warning: main(./wp-blog-header.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/DOMAIN/public_html/b/index.php on line 4

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required './wp-blog-header.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /var/www/DOMAIN/public_html/b/index.php on line 4

Something similar happens when I go to http://DOMAIN/b/wp-admin/ :

Warning: main() [function.main]: Unable to access ../wp-config.php in /var/www/DOMAIN/public_html/b/wp-admin/admin.php on line 5

Warning: main(../wp-config.php) [function.main]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/DOMAIN/public_html/b/wp-admin/admin.php on line 5

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '../wp-config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/lib/php') in /var/www/DOMAIN/public_html/b/wp-admin/admin.php on line 5

    I'm running PHP 5.

I should add that the required files ARE present and that file permissions are rw for user, and r for everybody else. Directories are rx.

If I change the require call in index.php to require('wp-blog-header.php') there is no problem at all but do I really have to do that for every single require call in the entire source?!

i think you face problem because of you '/b/'.
check out in db->wp_options in which you find variable
SITEURL, just check its value. its should be
    HTTP://DOMAIN/B/ .

try it, it may solve your problem.
