I've been searching around, but I can't seem to find a solution to have related posts show up with thumbnails next to them with images from those post. Anyone working on something like that? Or have found a solution?

Posted 3 years ago #Hey @raykart - The next major revision (most likely the next revision, as long as 2.1.4 doesn't have any critical bugs I need to quickly fix...) of Yet Another Related Posts Plugin will include a new templating feature which lets powerusers uber-customize the display of each related posts.
You'll be able to use familiar template tags like
the_date,the_author()`, as well as the metadata commands, so you can pull out some special data for your article.
